Application of SRT in a tungsten deposit in Jiangxi Province, China
Located in Jiangxi Province, China, this tungsten mine is famous for its reserves and is a skarn-type mineral. In recent years, extensive drilling and geological exploration have uncovered the world’s largest reserves of tungsten ore here, with a maximum depth of 1800 meters.
The impedance images display structures that are consistent with the drilling results, clearly showing the intrusion phenomenon of intrusive rocks from the depths and the relationship between marbles and surrounding rocks.
The geological interpretation results of the seismic frequency resonance wave impedance image indicate that SRT has the ability to finely explore solid minerals at depths of 0-3000 meters. When combined with drilling, this technique can reveal the fine structure of subsurface medium that is factored in density.
