Monitoring the effectiveness of cement grouting in a mined-out area with SRT
The mine, located in Yunnan Province, has carbonate geological characteristics with overturned nearly vertical beds. Lead-zinc ore above 300m has been mined, and the low-density zone observed is associated with goafs and watery zones, based on a combination of mining and partial drilling data.
The SRT results clearly reflect the goafs above 300m and the aquifer below 300m on the profile, and the position of the high-density medium filling from the cement grouting is also clearly visible, forming an effective waterproof partition wall underground.
Therefore, SRT can be effectively applied to prevent water hazards in the mine.
