Application of SRT in a lead-zinc deposit
This lead-zinc mine is located in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. A low-grade lead-zinc ore body was discovered between elevations of 300m to 500m, with thick veins of high grade in the vicinity of the deep fault zone. SRT was conducted to identify favorable areas for mineralization by clarifying the underground structural development characteristics.
The SRT results revealed the presence of multiple faults in the area, which may be associated with the deep porphyry body. Geological analysis of the SRT results suggested the presence of high-grade veins in these fault zones at deeper levels.
To confirm the geological inference based on SRT, a borehole was designed and intersected lead, zinc, silver, and gold enrichments, verifying the efficacy of SRT in identifying ore bodies.
